The ability to isolate and study individual cells using the leading-edge technology of our C1™ system enables researchers across disciplines to explore the heterogeneity of cell populations. Recently a team of scientists at the Broad Institute and Fluidigm analyzed transcriptomes of more than 1,700 primary mouse bone-marrow-derived dendritic cells, revealing a subpopulation of "precocious" cells that expressed antiviral genes earlier than others.
