CD45RB is expressed primarily on subsets of B cells, T cells, monocytes, and macrophages. Additionally, weak expression on granulocytes has been reported. Memory T cells (CD4+, CD45RA-) possess differential expression of CD45RB. Expression level of CD45RB correlates with higher proliferation and IFNγ production. CD45RB expression may be a mechanism for fine-tuning the responsiveness of memory cells in vivo.
